Steve Biko Housing Association has announced the appointment of its next Chief Executive Officer, Mr Abdul Malik-Ahad

Abdul Malik-Ahad succeeds Tracey Gore as Chief Executive in November 2025. Abdul has a wealth of experience in both the social housing and community development sectors, and has a passion for racial justice. The association believes that Abdul is well placed to lead Steve Biko Housing Association.
Abdul has previously held roles in some of the region’s largest housing providers including Your Housing Group, BME housing association Tung Sing and First Choice Homes. Alongside this, Abdul has held board positions for the Probation Service and the NHS.
The Chair of Steve Biko Housing Association Alison Navarro in welcoming Abdul said “The Board and I are delighted to welcome Abdul as our new Chief Executive. Whilst we are sad to see the departure of our current Chief Executive, Tracey Gore, who has led Steve Biko Housing Association for over 20 years, we know Abdul, with the support of tenants, staff and the board will build on Tracey’s amazing legacy both in running a very successful black-led Housing Association and being a key voice and advocate on race and racism across the Liverpool and the region more generally”
Abdul succeeds Tracey Gore who retires from the Association at the end of October, 2025.

Incoming Chief Executive Abdul Malik-Ahad is greeted by the departing Tracey Gore.
