In July, Tuntum brought colleagues together for its Annual Staff Conference at Nottingham Contemporary.

The theme, “Our Story, Our Strength, Our Future”, reflected Tuntum’s history, its people and its plans for the years ahead.

Chief Executive Charmaine Simei opened and closed the conference, sharing reflections on Tuntum’s journey, values and work with customers and communities.

Barrington Billings, Tuntum’s Director of Operations and Chair of BME National, led a session exploring Tuntum’s history. Colleagues looked back at key milestones and the organisation’s work supporting diverse communities through housing and services.

The day also included a bespoke portrait by Nottingham artist and illustrator Kim Thompson. The artwork celebrates Tuntum’s history, people and contribution to the city.

Staff achievements were recognised through the Values Champions Awards. The conference also welcomed Merleta Bryan-Hilton MBE, High Sheriff of Nottinghamshire, for a keynote discussion with colleagues.

As a BME National member, Tuntum continues to bring its experience and perspective to the wider housing sector.
