Volunteer Development Worker Vacancy

The Evelyn Oldfield Unit is seeking an experienced person to develop and deliver “The Building the Big Society” – The BME/Migrant Volunteering Engagement Programme. The Evelyn Oldfield Unit (EOU) is a high profile refugee and migrant-led 2nd tier organisation at the forefront of developing the capacity of the refugee and migrant sector. The Unit is passionate about the values of cultural diversity, community leadership and creating a step change towards more inclusive services for refugee and migrant clients of the refugee, migrant and mainstream voluntary sector.

The successful candidate will be a creative, inspiring, energetic, highly committed, and results oriented individual, proven in the development of volunteers with demonstrable experience of creating strategies, developing training programmes, recruiting, inducting and placing volunteers within the BME and Refugee and Migrant Community Organisations (RMCOs). Excellent communication and building accomplished networks/partnerships are essential engaging with internal and external stakeholders. Ideally you will have previously worked and managed volunteers and volunteering programmes and be used to managing sub – regionally based programmes. You will have some experience of marketing and prompting project work and you will join a team of Development Workers and volunteers in delivering this Inspiring Volunteering Programme for BME/Migrant Communities.
