Voice4Change England is offering you the opportunity to win tickets to join Charles Burnett, one of America’s “greatest living film directors” for his In Conversation…UK Tour 2013.
As one of the leading figures of the Los Angeles School of Black Independent Film Makers, Charles Burnett is described as an “innovative and evocative film maker”. He is best known for his film Killer of Sheep (1977) and Nambia The Struggle for Liberation (2007). The tour will feature his new project ’83 Days, The Murder of George Stinnery Jr’, telling the true life story of a 14 year old boy accused of murder. The film examines the legal process and court verdict of a young boy too young to defend himself.
We have 12 pairs of tickets to give away to attend his first stop at the BFI African Odyssey, South Bank NFT1 on Saturday 5th October 2013.
